Pericles: In Concert is a one-night-only benefit concert featuring Troy Anthony's Obie-Award-winning musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's late romance, Pericles —an epic story of a young prince running from an evil king who struggles to find joy in the midst of grief.

Hosted by Troy Anthony, this site-specific concert will be led by Tony nominee Crystal Lucas-Perry, returning to her Obie-winning role as Gower, and Tony nominee Ato Blankson-Wood, returning as Pericles. They’ll be joined by additional members of the original cast, a 90-person choir, a gospel band, and many special guests for an evening celebrating the music of Anthony’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s Pericles.

Originally premiered by The Public Theater’s Public Works initiative at The Cathedral of St. John The Divine, this concert celebrates and tells the story of all of the creative labor and support that went into creating the show.

Additionally we will celebrate The Fire Ensemble’s upcoming five year anniversary by honoring significant supporters with the inaugural Sapphire Awards. This concert will be presented at the historic Concord Baptist Church of Christ in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
